The Dark House
This book is a small collection of works by Sylvia Plath. Her life was spent hiding her true self from those around her, and this book attempts to recreate this sense of secrecy in the way it displays her writing.
Exploring the idea of duality and experimental typography, this book showcases the poem The Dark House. This poem is encased by Plath’s other works in various ways, breaking in and out. The Dark House is surrounded in unconventional patterns that push the boundaries of traditional grid layouts, much like Plath’s darkness pushed on the boundaries of the life she intended other’s to see
Post Production Newsletter
Post-Production is a fictional non-profit newsletter for new professionals and recent graduates in the design field. It is headed by a group of veterans from across the country that work in collaboration with recent graduates to deliver the best advice in business practice as it relates to design.
The purpose of this project was to use duo-tones, photo editing and other methods to explore the various steps in print production.
Main Street Pawn Shop
This was a proposed identity renovation for a relatively new pawnshop located in Maquoketa, Iowa and was done while working with the main street revival movement. The focus was on creating a unique, old fashioned inspired identity that would convey the idea of vintage signage while retaining modern aesthetics.
Catalyst is a student-run publication at Iowa State University focusing on why design matters and how it affects all aspects on our lives. This issue was released during the fall 2012 semester. Every issue is created using radically different styles from its predecessor. This way, each and every issue is a new experiment in design. In this issue hand type overlays and a strict gird were used.

Great White Brewery
To celebrate their grand opening, the hypothetical Great White Brewery commissioned custom wooden beer packaging. Displayed as a brewmaster’s pack these beers would serve as a preview of some of the brewery’s line of beer, working both as promotional pieces and a collectible.
The Truth of New York
This experimental calendar plays on the perception of the "grand city of New York.” Many are attracted to the idea of New York as some sort of glamorous destination as if it is based in fantasy rather than reality. However upon closer inspection it is discovered to be a city just like any other with the usual grit one should expect.
Printed on Neenah Pearlized Crystal paper to give it the illusion of luminescence. Final print size: 3.4ft x 2.2ft
